AGAMA Charity and AGAMA Tours & Safaris share a common Tanzanian heritage and a longstanding commitment to the communities and natural landscapes of Tanzania.
However, they are distinct organizations with separate purposes, financial responsibilities and accountability structures.
AGAMA Tours & Safaris
AGAMA Tours & Safaris is a commercial Tanzanian safari and tourism business. Its activities include safari operations, travel services, accommodation arrangements, guiding and other tourism-related services.
AGAMA Tours operates as a commercial enterprise and is responsible for its own business revenues, expenses, employees, suppliers and operational obligations.
AGAMA Charity
AGAMA Charity is a nonprofit organization established to support vulnerable children, education and community development initiatives.
Charitable donations and grants received by AGAMA Charity are managed through the charity's own financial and governance systems and are used for approved charitable programs.
Separate Financial Management
AGAMA Charity maintains financial records and banking arrangements separate from AGAMA Tours & Safaris.
Donations intended for AGAMA Charity are not treated as revenue of AGAMA Tours & Safaris.
The charity maintains its own accounting, budgeting, financial9 reporting and donor reporting processes.
Independent Accountability
AGAMA Charity is governed according to its own governing documents and applicable Tanzanian NGO requirements.
The charity maintains appropriate policies and procedures covering financial controls, conflicts of interest, safeguarding, procurement, donor accountability and responsible use of charitable funds.
Annual reporting and audited financial reporting are maintained in accordance with applicable requirements.
A Relationship Built on Purpose, Not Profit
AGAMA Tours may support AGAMA Charity through voluntary contributions, fundraising initiatives, logistical support or other properly documented arrangements.
Where AGAMA Tours provides goods or services to AGAMA Charity, such arrangements are documented and appropriately accounted for.
No charitable donation is presented as commercial tourism revenue.
